Add Agent Minder to Claude Code, step by step

Claude Code runs on your computer. If you already added Agent Minder to Claude, it may already be there.

Agent Minder is being built and tested. These steps are for its testers; the app isn't available yet.

The app shows these steps once our own test on a real computer passes.

Last checked: 26 October 2026. Claude Code is made by Anthropic, not by Agent Minder, and Anthropic hasn't checked these steps. Its menus can change. We check these steps against its own help pages every week.

If you already added Agent Minder to Claude

On a computer.

  1. Sign in to Claude Code with the same Claude account (type /login if it asks).
  2. Type /mcp.
  3. Check that Agent Minder is listed with the servers from claude.ai.

Not working?

Agent Minder isn't listed in /mcp

Claude Code shows Claude's connectors only when it is signed in with your Claude account. Type /login and choose your Claude account, or add Agent Minder with the line in the next part.

Open Terminal

On a Mac, Windows.

  1. On a Mac: press Command and Space, type Terminal, then press Return.
  2. On Windows: press the Windows key, type PowerShell, then press Enter.
More about this step

Terminal is the app on your computer where you type commands. You only need it to paste one line.

Not working?

I can't find Terminal on my Mac

In the Finder, open the Applications folder, then Utilities, then double-click Terminal.

Which one on Windows?

Use PowerShell. Claude Code also works in Command Prompt, but these steps use PowerShell.

Add Agent Minder with one command

On a computer.

  1. Open a terminal on the computer where Claude Code runs.
  2. Paste this command: claude mcp add --transport http --scope user agent-minder followed by the address the Agent Minder app copied for you.
  3. Press Return.
  4. Start Claude Code and type /mcp.
  5. Choose agent-minder. Your browser opens agentminder.co.uk.
  6. Sign in there, using your phone if your computer asks, and press "Yes, connect".
More about this step

Without --scope user, Claude Code adds Agent Minder to one project folder only.

You can also sign in from the terminal with: claude mcp login agent-minder.

Not working?

Terminal says claude isn't found

Claude Code isn't installed on that computer yet, or Terminal was opened before it was installed. Close Terminal, open it again, and type claude --version.

The browser didn't open

Claude Code shows an address instead. Copy it into your browser.

Keep your Agent Minder rule in every project

On a computer.

  1. In Agent Minder, tap "Copy the rule only". In Claude Code, paste it and ask Claude Code to add it to your user CLAUDE.md, so it applies in every project.
  2. If Claude Code asks before it changes the file, say yes.

Not working?

Claude Code asks before changing the file

That's normal: depending on your settings, Claude Code asks before it changes a file. Say yes to let it add the rule.

Scheduled tasks

On a computer, the web.

  1. Add Agent Minder in Claude first (see Add Agent Minder to Claude): cloud scheduled tasks use the connectors on your Claude account, not servers added with the command.
  2. In Claude Code, type /schedule list.
  3. Type /schedule update and ask it to add the task lines from Agent Minder to each task's prompt.
  4. Check that Agent Minder is one of each task's connectors.

Not working?

Agent Minder isn't in a task's connectors

Add Agent Minder in Claude first. Tasks use your Claude account's connectors, not the line you pasted.

Set up the Agent Minder hook

On a Mac, Windows.

  1. In Agent Minder, tap "Set up the hook".
  2. On your computer, open agentminder.co.uk/developers.
  3. Click "Download the Agent Minder hook". It saves to your Downloads folder.
  4. Open Terminal (see Open Terminal above).
  5. Paste the line the Agent Minder app shows, then press Return.
  6. Terminal shows "paired": true, and Agent Minder moves on by itself.
More about this step

The hook stops Claude Code's tools before they run when your rules say no or ask you, while it is installed and running.

Not working?

Terminal says python3 isn't found

On Windows, type py in place of python3 at the start of the line. If neither works, write to hello@agentminder.co.uk and say which step.

It says the file can't be found

The line expects the hook in your Downloads folder. If your browser saved it somewhere else, move it to Downloads, then paste the line again.

The code stopped working

A code works for 10 minutes and 5 tries. Tap "Get a new code" in Agent Minder and paste the new line.

If a step didn't match

Write to hello@agentminder.co.uk and tell us which step, and on which phone, tablet or computer. We fix this page the same day we can. Never send us a code.
